Motes Duckett, 84, of Ellijay, GA, formerly of the Hollingsworth community
of Banks County, GA, died January 15, 1979 at Ellijay, GA. Mrs. Duckett
was a native of Banks County, GA and the daughter of the late George and
Selina Edwards Motes. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and was
the widow of Bart Duckett. Survivors are daughter, Mrs. Calvin Jackson;
son, Colonel Wayne Duckett; sisters, Mrs. Walton Davis and Mrs. Willie
Maxwell; brothers, Tell and Guy Motes; grandchildren. Services were held
January 17, 1979 at Harmony Baptist Church with the Rev. James Holt
officiating. Interment was in the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.
Whitfield-Perkins Funeral Home of Cornelia, GA was in charge of the
