Pettit Martin Ray, 79, died October 6, 1949. She was born October 12, 1870
and was the youngest child of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Pettit. Mr.
Alec Pettit of Sapulpa, OK, is the only surviving member of her father's
family. She was a faithful member of Cartecay Church. In addition to her
parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Bascomb Martin and
her second husband, D. C. Ray. She is survived by children, Oral and Oden
Martin. Funeral services were held in Cartecay Church on October 8, 1949
with the Revs. H. D. Helton, her pastor, and L. F. Van Landingham, a
former pastor officiating. Burial was made in the church cemetery with B.
