| Maude Davis
Pinson, died December 29, 1929 after only a few hours illness causing a
great shock and a feeling of sincere regret among a wide circle of friends
through the county. Mrs. Pinson who apparently was enjoying her usual
health was taken suddenly ill Sunday morning with what was first thought
to be a stroke of paralysis. Doctors were immediately summoned and all
that medical aid and loving hands could do was done to relieve her
suffering. Mrs. Pinson before her marriage was Miss Maude Davis, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Garrett Davis and was born and reared in Gilmer County, GA
where she spent her entire life. She was an excellent lady held in high
esteem and beloved by unnumbered friends. She was a true and devoted wife
and a kind and sympathetic mother, having devoted her entire life to the
interest of her home and the comforts of her family. She is survived by
her husband, Robert A. Pinson and three children, Mrs. Gabe Jarrard, Edna
Pinson and Robert Pinson, Jr. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal
Church South, from which funeral services were conducted on Tuesday
afternoon, December 31, 1929, at 1:00 o'clock by her former pastor, Rev.
J. W. Lee. Interment was in
Ellijay Cemetery. Submitted by Suzanne Forte. Back to: Gilmer County, Georgia Obituaries Back to: Gilmer County, Georgia Genealogy
