This Indenture made in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and fifteen between Starling Stuckey of the
one part and Thomas Hughs of the other part each of the State Ga. Stuckey of Wilkinson County & Thomas
Hughs of Laurens County.  Witnepeth that for and in consideration of the sum of forty to him the said
Thomas Hughs in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained and sold and
confirmed unto the said Stuckey one half of hold or  parcel of land known and distinguished by the number
250 in the 23rd district of Wilkinson County containing one hundred one and a half it being forming
___more or lep together with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances ____ to belonging or
____ appertaining thereunto said Stuckey him his heirs and apigns forever to them and their own proper use
benefit and behoof forever in fee simple. and the said Hughs for any part do warrent and forever defend the
above mentioned premises from all person or persons sworn or claims whatsoever to said Stuckey.  In witnep
whereof I have set my hand and affixed my seal this twenty ninth day of November in the year above
